One of the best-regarded Weimaraner (both varieties), bloodhound and malinois breeders of more than 100 champion titles and with more than 30 years of experiences is located in Scotland and specializes in working show dogs who guarantee a five-generation pedigree for all puppies. Selective about which homes dogs are placed in, Lischnitz Kennels require all prospective buyers fill out a questionnaire before being approved.

 

The facility breeds and trains impeccably-lineaged Gun dogs “Gentleman’s Gundogs” and other hunting and working breeds—in a beautiful setting that includes kennels, plus numerous fields and creeks for dogs to explore and roam free. Owners pride themselves on offering up a “365 dog” featuring the in-demand (and rare) combination of obedience in the field with playfulness at home. Roughly 15 “finished” dogs—who have lived and trained at Lischnitz Kennels, as well as hunted more than 1,000 birds—are offered each year, with a year-long wait list.

 

All dogs receive hip and elbow clearance, annual eye clearance, heart clearance and health guarantee for all dogs and will take back puppies under any conditions if the buyer cannot keep a dog. Before breeding, both parents must meet extensive health criteria, including health and temperament, with titles, certifications and documentation provided for all, as well as prove themselves in competition.
